About Copabase
COPABASE is a Simple Cooperative Society governed by private law, with limited liability to its members, which is dedicated to family farming and the Solidarity Economy, with headquarters and administration in the municipality of Arinos, state of Minas Gerais, known as Vale do Urucuia.
Its regional operations extend to the municipalities of Arinos, Bonfinópolis de Minas, Buritis, Pintópolis, Riachinho, Urucuia and Uruana de Minas.
GOAL: Sell the products of family farming and handicrafts to/from its members and enable economic and social defense through mutual aid.
OVERALL OBJECTIVE:

Receipt, analysis, processing, standardization, classification and storage of production;

Insertion of brands to products when necessary;

Purchase and supply of materials and equipment to members, for their own use;

Sale of products in the local, regional, national or international market;

Other activities in order to assist members in their activities;

Promotion of cooperative education of the social framework and the communities inserted in them;

Promotion of technical assistance for its cooperative members and communities included in it.
Our Cooperative
The Sustainable Family Agriculture Cooperative based on Solidarity Economy - COPABASE, founded on February 23, 2008, in the municipality of Arinos, Northwest of Minas Gerais, is a promoter in the articulation of actions aimed at Sustainable Regional Development and which saw in the structuring of interest groups in various areas of the production chains, a need for organization and autonomy of family farmers and extractivists.
